HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Alabama Hammers will have a brand new opponent to contend with when the 2013 Professional Indoor Football League season gets under way.
The PIFL has announced that the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks will become the seventh member of the league. Based in Bethlehem, Pa., the Steelhawks will play their home games on the campus of Lehigh University at Stabler Arena.
“The addition of the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks to the Professional Indoor Football League is more than expansion. Their addition represents strategic growth for the PIFL,” said PIFL Executive Committee member John Hargrove.
“Lehigh Valley brings quality, value and performance in regards to strong leadership on and off the field, their business accomplishments and the Lehigh Valley community they serve.”
The PIFL will hold its annual winter meetings in Atlanta on August 27 with expected topics to include expansion, rule changes and the 2013 schedule.

Hammers Fundraising Program: The inaugural Hammers Fundraising Program is currently under way with the main goal of helping clubs, groups and organizations reach their fund raising goals. The program utilizes vouchers that can be redeemed for single-game tickets, merchandise and credit towards Hammers football camps/training sessions.
